Aberla Energy meets the FiT deadline and eyes growth for 2019/2020

Warrington based Aberla Energy, part of the Aberla Group, has seen an increase in solar PV installations in the face of looming subsidy cuts. The North West contractor has been working simultaneously with numerous clients to help get projects over the line before the crucial March 31st deadline.

With the Feed in Tariff deadline looming, Aberla Energy worked flat-out to secure FiT revenue on solar PV projects for a number of clients. These clients ranged from private landowners to large energy companies.

In order to secure Feed-in Tariff revenue, the Aberla team had to ensure a swift install of high standards, both to meet the schemes impending end date and its exacting standards. To meet these pressures, Aberla Energy drew upon years of operational and logistical delivery expertise, deploying multiple teams across the country to undertake various types of installations, ground mount, roof mount and ballasted

Aberla implemented a quick mobilisation of supply chain members, design engineers and experienced solar installers, having kit delivered, installed and commissioned within a tight window.

As the market continues without subsidies, Aberla is seeing changes to the specification of solar PV jobs, with larger systems being sought, as well as varied technological additions to improve the operability of PV, with battery storage systems and electric vehicle charging being seen as the most useful add-ons. This is positive for the industry, demonstrating the client, and installers commitment to delivering effective renewable energy solutions in spite of funding barriers.

Aberla recognises considerable potential for market growth as the industry moves further away from subsidised installations.
