Integrated Energy Solutions

About Us

Innovative energy technologies allow us to reduce our reliance on the grid, decrease our impact on the environment and to help lower energy bills.

The Aberla Energy team provides a turn-key solution for clients throughout delivery. This includes initial feasibility, design, supply, install, commissioning and aftercare maintenance.

Aberla Energy specialises in delivering renewable technologies and integrated energy generation solutions. These include solar PV, heat pumps, battery storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, heat networks and smart grids.

Our expertise is designing, installing and maintaining innovative systems which enable clients to transition into low-carbon energy usage.

Decarbonising our electricity supply is an important step towards a zero-carbon future. No longer is our power mix dominated by large, centralised generators, but smaller, decentralised and low carbon entities.

Gas Engine Insallation | Cheshire

Aberla Energy installed a containerised 500kWe Gas Engine for Siemens, reducing their grid dependency by enabling flexible and efficient energy to power their operations. Works included all M&E, civil and structural elements such as the gas pipework, equipment foundations and roof-mounted engine equipment.

Solar PV & Battery Storage | Nationwide

Aberla Energy was selected by E.ON to install solar PV and battery storage across the UK. Aberla provided a bespoke solution including a technical review, GIS mapping, customer liaison, compliance support and system installation.

Heat Network | Cambridgeshire

Aberla Energy undertook a CHP and District Heat project at Grade I listed Ufford Hall. Along with 0.3km of district heating pipework that circulates the main building and estate, new controls and pipework/mains were installed. The project was part of a larger multi-million-pound restoration project of the estate.

Projects

Project Funding

Our ability to offer project investment has enabled us to build a prominent reputation in large-scale energy infrastructure where we have developed schemes across the UK. This experience compliments our expertise in areas including student accommodation, retail, commercial, residential and care.
We have facilitated numerous financial investment mechanisms, including:

Energy Service Companies

Used by companies or public entities which have a limited ability to take on high upfront capital investments, and who may see an agreement with a third party to provide capital funding.

Joint Ventures

Developing projects using joint venture financing helps alleviate risk for companies that may have a lack of expertise in a specific technology or because of a less prevalent position in a
specific market.

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)

PPAs enable organisations to purchase electricity cheaper than typical market rates by allowing a funder to own and maintain a technology.

Government Innovation Grants

The Government offers a number of grants and loans that target public, private and third sector organisations. Typically the aim of this funding is to increase technology installations, help meet Government targets and create market conditions that are needed for sustained development.

Salix Finance
Provides interest-free Government funding to the public sector, to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills.

Design

We provide clients with efficient and innovative solutions, often using cutting edge technologies to deliver dynamic and long-term results. Examples of design work include:
• New build commercial and residential
• Retail
• Refurbishment projects
• Education buildings
• Renewable technologies
• Large-scale energy infrastructure

Our strength is derived from the depth of knowledge and experience of our team, formed over decades of industry exposure which enables us to manage even the most demanding and complex projects.

We routinely provide clients with desktop feasibility studies, offering our pre-planning guidance on potential projects. This initial consulting service enables us to provide clients with a full understanding of their project’s viability.

Delivery

As a trusted delivery partner, many clients seek our input before the early planning stages of a project. We add measurable value by proposing alternative design/delivery solutions and identifying value engineering opportunities.

What separates us from our competitors is that we are able to self-deliver a larger range of technologies and services. Our ability to keep services in-house offers clients better value by cutting out the middle man, allowing us to implement our cost-effective and efficient delivery model.

We are proud of our track record in health and safety and continue to increase and improve our site safety knowledge. Safety is paramount on all of our sites and we continuously deliver projects which maintain our exemplary safety record.

Maintenance

The team has over 10 years’ experience in providing monitoring and validation (M&V) services for clients across various sectors. We offer a robust asset optimisation and management (O&M) strategy to ensure long-term value and system efficiency.

By verifying system outputs, cash flows and returns, Aberla is able to work collaboratively with our clients. We measure system performance post-delivery, ensuring the installation is working as expected and the optimum energy savings are being achieved.

Our holistic and active approach to asset management and O&M allows us to deliver the quality of service which we promise our clients.

Slide Aberla has been our contractor since 2018. They have installed numerous solar PV installations for us during this time and we are happy to have them as part of our supply chain, due to their commitment to being a long term partner and delivering a cost effective service. Lucy Morgan - Head of Operations | Eon Slide Renewable technologies allow us to reduce our reliance on the grid, decrease our impact on the environment and also help to lower energy bills for our residents. As a local Cheshire-based business, Aberla provided a very strong tender and showcased excellent delivery expertise. Spokesman | Cheshire West & Chester Council Slide We were happy with the setup of the charge-point at our head office, including the location and overall communications and delivery expertise. Ben Mariner | Operations Manager Slide We’ve been working with Aberla for some time now and we were very excited to get the Congleton project over the line. Given their expertise and experience, we are confident Aberla will deliver the programme safely, on time and to the quality expected. Patrick Reilly-O’Donnell –
Project Manager | Siemens
Slide I felt a spirit of partnership rather than just a contractor client relationship . Without Aberlas help we could have had many more delays as they could easily have insisted on carrying out their work all at once as originally envisaged rather than on a piecemeal basis. I thought the quality of their work was great and their aftercare was also really good. Estate Owner - Ufford Hall | Cambridgeshire Slide Our focus as an organisation is to improve the quality of housing for our residents, and this project allows us to do exactly that. We were impressed with Aberla Energy’s experience and look forward to working with them. Mark Harrison – Compliance M&E Manager |
Progress Housing Group
