Aberla Energy, has secured a contract to provide temporary power and lighting for Domis Construction’s landmark Manchester PRS scheme 1 Old Trafford, which is being constructed for Cole Waterhouse. Aberla Energy will provide a multi-stage service for the client, providing on-site generation and cabling infrastructure, corridor/overhead lighting and maintenance.

The project is a prestigious 354-home development, consisting of a mix of 139 one-beds, 211 two-beds and four three-beds over two towers. There is also retail space and leisure facilities on the ground floor.

During enabling stages of construction, and throughout the project’s life, temporary power and lighting solutions are essential to ensure construction activities are safe and always have power. The contract will span the entirety of the 2-year build programme.

Paul McCarren, managing director of Aberla Group, said “We are always looking for innovative ways to offer our clients additional services. Temporary power and lighting enable us to provide a more complete offering, setting us aside from the competition.”

Kingsley Thornton, director at Domis Construction, said “Aberla is a trusted partner working with us on a number of schemes. This is their first temporary power solution for us, and we have been impressed with their attention to detail and their approach to providing time-sensitive solutions.”

Aberla Energy specialises in providing integrated power solutions, allowing clients to reduce energy consumption, maximise efficiency and manage assets more effectively.
