Aberla to install Air Source Heat Pumps to improve fuel efficiency
The contract forms part of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard improvements set out by the Welsh Assembly Government’s long-term vision for housing in Wales. With community benefits and the economic and social regeneration of the works being a priority for the Council, work has already commenced to assist domestic customers in reducing their energy bills, creating warmer homes and ultimately addressing fuel poverty within the region.
Paul McCarren, Managing Director at Aberla, commented: “As sole contractor for this air source heat pump project across the north of the County, the team has already started working closely with the Council to review their domestic property portfolio. Air source heat pumps are a great alternative to replacing existing storage heaters, oil boilers and solid fuel systems. The main objective is to install this type of heating in rural areas where mains gas is not available, in turn, providing customers with an efficient and cost effective heating solution.”
