About Us

Aberla Utilities specialises in facilitating grid resilience, demand balancing and distributed energy resources that help secure the security of our energy supply. Beyond this, Aberla Utilities has a focus on decarbonising heat and aiding clients with the design and implementation of innovative technologies, such as combined heat and power, district heat networks and smart grids.

Utility work is essential to the continued operation of the grid, providing the ability for an greater renewable energy capacity and ensuring that substations, transformers and transmission cables operate at an optimal level.

Aberla Utilities provides a bespoke, turn-key solution, managing processes from design, planning and surveys, through installation and into commissioning. We produce High Level Agreements and Investment Grade Proposals to aid funding capabilities. Further provisions, such as ongoing maintenance requirements and asset management are undertaken as standard practice.

Flexible Generation| Nationwide

Aberla is at the forefront of flexible generation, delivering projects both behind the meter and in front of the meter. The team has worked with multiple developers, to identify sites and undertake environmental, technical and planning work, to ensure long-term viability of the projects. Working with blue-chip companies, such as Siemens and UKSF, Aberla Utilities is delivering multiple flexible generation schemes, such as peaking plants, behind the meter chp plants and demand side response schemes.

Combined Heat & Power | Ayrshire

The Balgarth Pines Lodge, Ayrshire, commissioned Aberla Utilities to install a new CHP energy centre & heating upgrades to connect to the existing wet system. The project team worked collaboratively with staff to ensure the project and day to day operations worked seamlessly.

Ufford Hall CHP Network | Cambridgeshire

Aberla undertook a CHP and District Heat project at Grade I listed Ufford Hall. Along with 0.3km of district heating pipework that circulates the main building and estate, new controls and pipework/mains were successfully installed. The heating project was part of a larger multi-million-pound restoration project of the estate.
