Aberla M&E secures mechanical package for Goosnargh housing scheme
Aberla M&E, part of North-West based Aberla Group, has been selected by Seddon Construction to deliver the mechanical package for Seddon’s newest housing project in Goosnargh, Preston.
The Goosnargh scheme has 93 homes in total, 70% of which will be available at a discounted price for those with a connection to Goosnargh. The idea behind the scheme is to allow local people who are currently priced out of the market to get onto the property ladder.
As well as providing affordable housing for the Goosnargh area, the project will encourage traffic calming, generate employment and training opportunities and support the local economy.
The Aberla M&E team, which will be working to a 62-week programme, will initially be installing the heating, plumbing and gas at the first fix stage. Once all boarding and tiling has been completed, the team will return to deliver the radiators, sanitaryware and boilers, before handing over to Seddon’s site team.
The Goosnargh scheme will be the first collaboration between Aberla M&E and Seddon Construction.
Paul McCarren, chief executive officer at Aberla Group commented, “The project will provide the people of Goosnargh with the perfect opportunity to get onto the property ladder. We are delighted to have been selected for this particular scheme. This will be the beginning of a long and prosperous relationship with Seddon.”
The North-West based companies complement each other well. Aberla’s experience and expertise in delivering residential projects, paired with Seddon’s knowledge of delivering large-scale contemporary construction projects, provides scope for a fruitful and successful relationship between the two.
Aberla M&E commenced works in Autumn 2020 and anticipates completion in Mid 2022.
