Aberla M&E delivers heating upgrade to Altrincham School
Aberla M&E, part of the Aberla Group, has provided a full heating upgrade to Loreto Preparatory School in Altrincham, Cheshire. The work consisted of an improved building management system (BMS), new flue, pipework, pumps and boilers.
Investment within the UK’s education sector is widely considered to be vital for the country’s progression, as it enables people to maximise their potential by enhancing their capabilities. However, school spending per pupil in England has dropped in real terms over the last ten years by nearly 10% (IFS, 2020). Thus, managing costs efficiently is vital to ensuring schools maximise productivity, which allows further investment into student development.
Dr Daniel Strosnider, strategy & sustainability director at the Aberla Group said, “We are really proud to have been awarded the heating upgrade for Loreto Preparatory School. Having customers in the education sector is important to Aberla’s values. It provides opportunities to help the community and deliver our high-quality services.”
The heating upgrade will positively impact the learning experience of pupils in the years to come by providing a comfortable indoor environment, simplifying the monitoring of energy usage and reducing energy bills.
Anne Roberts, headteacher at Loreto Preparatory School said, “I am delighted with the quality of the service Aberla provided. We needed an efficient yet cost-effective install to ensure everything was completed before the Autumn Term commenced. Aberla M&E promised and delivered exactly that.”
The work was carried out during the month of August, ensuring the system was commissioned and handed over before students went back to school in September.
