Aberla Utilities extend telecoms services to 125,000 premises
Aberla Utilities, telecoms and civil engineering specialists based in the North West, has surveyed fibre network infrastructure to reach 125,000 premises across Slough, Reading and Middlesbrough.
This comes just 4 months after Aberla signed an international partnership with telecommunications experts, Gabitel Ingenieros. Since then, the two businesses have developed a class leading digital surveying/design tool, enabling fibre routes to be mapped out with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
Dr Daniel Strosnider, strategy and sustainability director at Aberla, commented, ‘With more investment being injected into the telecoms sector, and the industry ramping up to deliver on the government’s targets, we believe Aberla can play an important role in improving the nation’s fibre infrastructure. We are proud of the work our operatives have carried out in the last 4 months, but this is only the beginning.”
Together, Aberla and Gabitel have positioned themselves as vital supply-chain partner in the delivery of fibre network infrastructure across the UK. As the industry hit 19% full fibre over the Christmas period, emphasis must be placed on the 81% of UK homes who don’t have access to fibre broadband. Partnerships between the industry’s experts are essential to achieving the government’s target of ‘Full Fibre’ by 2025.
After completing works on site in Middlesbrough in December 2020, focus switches to Aberla’s next target, Sheffield, with another 30,000 premises due to be surveyed in Q1 2021.
